Avery the Quaker Parrot
Avery came to JRAAR on 6/21/25.
Avery was caught as a stray in the Wisconsin Dells and brought back to Oshkosh by a Good Samaritan who kept him for awhile until theu got too many noise complaints and had to get rid of him.
He has shown us some of his personality at the rescue by enjoying splashing around in baths and shredding paper toys.
Quaker Parrots are PROHIBITED in Wisconsin and an NR-40 Permit is needed (which we have) in order to adopt him.You must meet and interact with Avery 3 times before you can bring him home. Once you are approved to adopt, you will be sent a link in order to make your appointments. You can make all three appointments at once and bring him home on the third.
