🐢 Meet Sandwich – The Common Snapping Turtle with a Big Personality! 🍞
 
Hello! I’m Sandwich, a Common Snapping Turtle with a story. I came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 8/13/24 because my tank sprung a leak, and my owner’s landlord made her part ways with me. 😢
 
I was born in captivity and purchased at a reptile expo, so I’m not a candidate for reintroduction into the wild. But guess what? I’m ready to find a new forever home! 🏡
 
🐢 Snapping Turtle Care Tips:
🌊 Enclosure: A large tank with plenty of water to swim in and a sturdy basking platform
☀️ Lighting: UVB light and basking spot around 85°F
🍽️ Diet: I love eating fresh fish, insects, and turtle pellets
🌿 Habitat: Keep my water clean and provide some hiding spots like driftwood or rocks
💧 Water Temp: Keep the water at a comfortable 75-80°F
