These Florida Redbelly Turtles have been with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue for a while now and are still looking for homes with people ready for the long-term care turtles need.
 
They are currently just over 4 inches long, making them legal to adopt under federal law. While they may seem small now, Florida Redbellies grow into large aquatic turtles that will eventually need a spacious aquarium or pond setup.
 
These turtles do best with clean water, strong filtration, a basking area with heat and UVB lighting, and plenty of room to swim. They are active turtles that enjoy exploring their environment and basking under warm lights.
 
Turtles can live for many years, so we would love to find these little ones permanent homes where they can grow and thrive for decades to come.
