Assorted Oscars 🐟

These Oscars came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 3/31/26 because their owner, who originally got them from Pet Supplies Plus, moved and could not take them along.

They have been with us for a while now and are still looking for homes. Oscars are known for their big personalities and often recognize the people who feed them.

Many owners describe them as being more like wet pets than fish!

Oscars grow large and need a spacious aquarium with strong filtration and regular maintenance. They are intelligent, active fish that enjoy interacting with their environment and watching what is happening outside the tank.

Because of their size and appetite, Oscars are best suited for keepers who are prepared for the commitment of a large freshwater aquarium.

We would love to see these fish finally find homes where they can continue to grow and thrive.
