Red-eared Sliders are one of the most popular pet turtles, but they grow much larger than many people expect. With proper care, they can live for decades and become active, curious pets that recognize their caregivers.
 
🟢 Quick Care Tips:
• Adult size: 8–12 inches
• Lifespan: 20–40+ years
• Tank size: 75–125+ gallons as adults
• Water temperature: 75–80°F
• Basking spot: 90–95°F
• UVB lighting is required
• Diet: Turtle pellets, leafy greens, insects, and occasional fish
 
Red-eared Sliders need strong filtration, clean water, and plenty of room to swim and bask. They are rewarding pets for families who are ready to provide the proper setup and long-term care.
