📏 Adult Size: 5–7 inches
📅 Lifespan: 2–3 years
💤 Temperament: Solitary—must be housed alone once grown
🏠 Enclosure:
– Minimum 450 sq. inches of unbroken floor space (bigger is better)
– Deep bedding (6–8") for burrowing
– Solid exercise wheel (8–12") for enrichment
🌡️ Temps: 65–75°F, kept away from drafts and direct sunlight
🍽️ Diet:
– High-quality hamster mix or pellets
– Fresh veggies like carrots, broccoli, cucumber, spinach
– Occasional protein treats (cooked egg, mealworms)
– Fresh water always available
🧸 Enrichment: Tunnels, hides, chew toys, climbing structures
These babies are playful, curious, and waiting to bring joy to their new families. 🐾 Since Syrian hamsters must be kept one per enclosure, each little one will need their very own setup.
