Basil the Ball Python 🐍🌿

Basil came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 6/27/26 at the Exotic Pet Surrender Event in Oconto because their owner could no longer keep them in their apartment.

Basil has now been with us for over three months and is still looking for a home. Sometimes a pet is surrendered simply because life or housing rules change, and our surrender events give families a safe place to bring animals like Basil.

Ball pythons need a secure enclosure with proper heat and humidity, multiple hiding places, fresh water, enrichment, and enough space to fully stretch out and explore.

💚 Name Your Adoption Fee! Instead of a set adoption fee, we are asking for a donation of your choice to help keep the rescue going and provide care for the animals at JRAAR.

A huge thank you to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for sponsoring the Oconto event and supporting responsible exotic pet surrender!
