Dustin Henderson came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 1/2/26 after his previous owner experienced health issues and could no longer care for him. This handsome Enchi Spider Ball Python is about 3 feet long and currently eating frozen/thawed small rats with no problem. 🐀❄️
With his bright Enchi tones and bold Spider pattern, Dustin is a real standout. He’s calm, established, and ready for a stable forever home.
 
🐍 Ball Python Care – Quick Tips🐍
📏 Adult Size: 3–5 feet
⏳ Lifespan: 30+ years
🏠 Enclosure: Minimum 4’ x 2’ x 2’ (120 gallons)
🌡️ Temps:
• Basking surface: 95–104°F
• Warm hide: 86–90°F
• Cool side: 72–80°F
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, with a humid hide for proper sheds
☀️ Lighting: Low-level UVB recommended
🛏️ Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix or similar natural substrate
🍽️ Diet:
• Frozen/thawed rodents every 10–14 days 
• Dustin is currently eating prekilled small rats
• Prey should be about 1–1.5× the width of the snake’s body
 
💡 Spider Morph Note: Some Spider Ball Pythons can have a neurological “wobble.” This does not typically affect quality of life but is important for adopters to understand.
