Ed the Sideneck Turtle

Ed came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 12/12/25, all the way from Minnesota. His owner, who got him from a pet store, was moving and could no longer keep him. They were also unable to find another rescue that takes turtles.
 
Ed is about 7 years old and really loves dried shrimp. Sideneck turtles are active swimmers and need a large aquatic setup with clean water, good filtration, and a basking area.
 
Ed is looking for a committed home that can give him the space and care turtles need long-term.
