Emerald the Green Iguana
Emerald came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 10/17/25 because their owner became ill and could no longer provide the care they needed.
They adore fresh veggies and have a big appetite for leafy greens. Emerald also has a stumpy tail, likely from a past injury, but it doesn’t slow them down one bit—this spirited iguana still climbs, explores, and shows off their personality every day.
Green iguanas grow large and require a spacious enclosure, strong UVB lighting, proper heat, and a diet rich in greens and vegetables. Emerald is looking for an adopter with the space, experience, and dedication these impressive reptiles deserve.
