Pearl Cichlid (Geophagus brasiliensis) 🐟✨

This Pearl Cichlid has been with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue for a while now and is still looking for a home.

Pearl Cichlids are beautiful South American fish known for their shimmering blue-green spots and bold personalities. They are sometimes called Pearl Eartheaters because they enjoy digging and searching through the bottom of their tank for food.

These fish can grow fairly large and need plenty of room. Like many cichlids, they can also become territorial, so tankmates should be chosen with care.

💧 Care Basics:
• Large freshwater aquarium
• Strong filtration and clean water
• Soft sand or smooth substrate for digging
• Rocks, wood, and hiding places
• Carefully chosen tankmates
• A varied, high-quality diet

This beautiful cichlid would make an impressive centerpiece for the right aquarium. We would love to see them finally find a home where they can thrive.
