Houdini came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 11/24/25 because their owner, who originally got them from Animart, was not allowed to keep a snake at their residence.
 
Houdini is about 2.5–3 feet long and is eating frozen/thawed large mice. California kingsnakes are active, curious, and known for being hardy when given the right setup.
 
🏠 Good to Know:
• Active and alert snake
• Needs a secure enclosure (they’re great escape artists!)
• Does well with proper heat, hides, and routine care
 
Houdini is looking for a stable, permanent home with someone ready for a fun and engaging snake.
