King Julian the Madagascar Giant Day Gecko 🦎👑

King Julian came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 6/23/26 from a distributor. He wasn’t considered “perfect enough” for a pet store because of his nub tail.

King Julian disagrees. In fact, his nub tail doesn’t stop him from getting around at all. He still likes to MOVE IT, MOVE IT! 🎶👑

He has now been with us for about three months and is still looking for a home where someone will appreciate him exactly as he is.

Madagascar Giant Day Geckos are active, tree-dwelling reptiles that can grow around 9–11 inches long. They need a tall enclosure with plenty of branches, vines, and plants for climbing, along with proper heat, humidity, and UVB lighting.

These geckos also have delicate skin, so they are better suited for watching and interacting with on their terms rather than frequent handling.

If you’re interested in giving King Julian his kingdom, please see our website for more information. 👑🦎
