Memo arrived at J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on August 16, 2025, after their previous owner could no longer keep them for personal reasons. At about 2.5 years old, Memo is a healthy adult gecko with plenty of life ahead. While they don’t really enjoy being handled, Memo is still a fascinating little companion who shines as a watch-and-feed reptile.

📏 Adult Size: 7–10 inches
📅 Lifespan: 15–20+ years
💤 Temperament: Generally calm, but some prefer less handling
🏠 Enclosure Size: At least 36”L x 18”W x 18”H
🌡️ Temps:
– Basking surface: 94–97°F
– Warm hide: 90–92°F
– Cool side: 70–77°F
💧 Humidity: 30–40% (70–80% in humid hide for shedding)
💡 Lighting: Low-level UVB is recommended (Arcadia ShadeDweller or Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 T5)
🛏️ Substrate: Naturalistic soil/sand blend, tile, or paper towel (avoid loose dry sand)
🌿 Décor: Hides on both warm & cool sides, climbing rocks, and a humid hide
🍽️ Diet: Insectivore
– Staples: Crickets, dubia roaches, mealworms, BSFL
– Treats: Hornworms, waxworms (sparingly)
– Dust insects with calcium + multivitamins
