Moka came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on September 27, 2025, after his previous owner could no longer keep him. This handsome male Ball Python is about 2 feet long and eating small frozen/thawed rats with no hesitation. 🐀❄️
 
With his smooth, mocha-colored pattern and calm personality, Moka is as mellow as his name suggests. He’s easy to care for, easy to handle, and ready to find a forever home where he can curl up and relax. ☕💛

📏 Adult Size: 3–5 feet
📅 Lifespan: 30+ years
💤 Temperament: Shy but docile—great for both new and experienced snake keepers
🏠 Enclosure Size: Minimum 4’L x 2’W x 2’H (120 gallons)
🌡️ Temps:
– Basking surface: 95–104°F
– Warm hide: 86–90°F
– Cool side: 72–80°F
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, with a humid hide during shedding
💡 Lighting: Low-level UVB (Arcadia Forest 6% or Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 T5 HO) recommended for overall health
🛏️ Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix (Reptisoil, Eco Earth, or soil/sand blend) topped with leaf litter

– Whole frozen/thawed or prekilled rodents
