Odin came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on September 25, 2025, after his previous owner could no longer care for him due to financial reasons. This 5-year-old male is about 2 feet long and eating frozen/thawed rats with no hesitation. 🐀❄️
 
Just like his mythic namesake, Odin is calm, wise, and full of quiet power. With his steady temperament and gentle nature, he’s the perfect Ball Python for anyone looking to add a peaceful, low-maintenance reptile to their home. 💛
 
🔍 Ball Python Quick Care Info (from ReptiFiles):
📏 Adult Size: 3–5 feet
📅 Lifespan: 30+ years
💤 Temperament: Shy but docile—easy to handle and great for beginners
🏠 Enclosure Size: Minimum 4’L x 2’W x 2’H (120 gallons)
🌡️ Temps:
– Basking surface: 95–104°F
– Warm hide: 86–90°F
– Cool side: 72–80°F
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, with a humid hide during shed cycles
💡 Lighting: Low-level UVB (Arcadia Forest 6% or Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 T5 HO) is beneficial
🛏️ Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix (Reptisoil, Eco Earth, or soil/sand blend) topped with leaf litter
