Percy came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 4/7/26 after his owner, who originally got him from PetSmart, was moving and could no longer keep him. Now this handsome snake is looking for a stable forever home.
 
Percy is about 5 years old and is eating frozen/thawed small rats consistently. He is a great example of why Ball Pythons are one of the most popular pet snakes in the world. They are generally calm, easy to handle, and can make wonderful long-term companions.
 
🟢 Quick Care Tips:
• Adult size: 3–5 feet
• Lifespan: 30+ years
• Enclosure: At least 4' x 2' x 2'
• Warm side: 86–90°F
• Cool side: 72–80°F
• Humidity: 45–75%
• Feed every 10–14 days
 
Ball Pythons need proper heating, humidity, secure hides, and fresh water at all times. With good care, they can thrive for decades.
