Primis was surrendered to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 5/15/26 during the Exotic Pet Surrender Event in Wautoma because their owner felt they couldn't handle them. After spending time with Primis, we've discovered they're actually a very sweet snake. They do get startled easily, but with a calm, gentle hand, they settle down nicely.
 
Ball Pythons are naturally shy animals and often need a little time to build trust with new people. Once they feel safe, they can become calm and rewarding companions that thrive with consistent care and patience.
 
🟢 Quick Care Tips:
• Adult size: 3–5 feet
• Lifespan: 30+ years
• Enclosure: At least a 4' × 2' × 2' enclosure
• Warm side: 86–90°F
• Cool side: 72–80°F
• Humidity: 45–75%
• Diet: Frozen/thawed rodents every 10–14 days
