Roswell the Red-Eared Slider 🐢
 
Roswell came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 2/12/26 from the New Mexico Wildlife Center after being found wandering around town. Since this species is not native to New Mexico, they were sent here to find a proper home.
 
At some point, Roswell was hit by a car and had surgery in August 2025 to repair their shell. The good news is—they are doing great now!
 
Red-eared sliders need a large aquatic setup, strong filtration, and a basking area with heat and UVB lighting.
