Saja came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 1/2/26 after her previous owner experienced health issues and could no longer care for her. This beautiful young snake is about 2 feet long and is currently eating prekilled mice consistently. 🐁❄️
 
With genetics like Het Clown / Het Albino, Saja has incredible potential and classic Ball Python charm. She’s healthy, alert, and ready for a committed forever home.
 
🐍 Ball Python Care – Quick Tips🐍
📏 Adult Size: 3–5 feet
⏳ Lifespan: 30+ years
🏠 Enclosure: Minimum 4’ x 2’ x 2’ (120 gallons) for adults
🌡️ Temps:
• Basking surface: 95–104°F
• Warm hide: 86–90°F
• Cool side: 72–80°F
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, with a humid hide to support proper shedding
☀️ Lighting: Low-level UVB recommended
🛏️ Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix or similar naturalistic substrate
🍽️ Diet:
• Frozen/thawed or prekilled rodents
• Feed every 7–14 days depending on size
• Prey should be about 1–1.5× the width of the snake’s body
 
💡 Ball pythons are typically calm and shy, making them wonderful pets for patient, responsible keepers.
