Scooter was dropped off at our Exotic Pet Surrender Event on 1/10/25 after their owner could no longer care for them. Now Scooter is safe with us and looking for a responsible forever home.
 
Scooter is just a hair over 4 inches long, which makes them the smallest legally adoptable turtle. (By law, turtles must be at least 4 inches in shell length to be sold or adopted.)
 
Yellow Belly Sliders are active aquatic turtles that need proper space and equipment to stay healthy. They will grow much larger with time.
 
🟢 Quick Care Tips:
• Adult size: 8–13 inches
• Lifespan: 20–30+ years
• Tank size: 75–125+ gallons as adults
• Water temp: 75–80°F
• Basking spot: 90–95°F
• UVB lighting is required
• Diet: Pellets, leafy greens, and protein
 
Turtles are a long-term commitment and need strong filtration, clean water, and proper lighting.
