🐢💛 Meet Skeeter the Yellow Belly Slider! 💛🐢
 
Skeeter was dropped off at our Exotic Pet Surrender Event on 1/10/25 after their owner could no longer care for them. Now Skeeter is safe and ready for a fresh start.
 
Skeeter is just a hair over 4 inches long, making them the smallest legally adoptable turtle. (Turtles must be at least 4 inches in shell length to be legally sold or adopted.)
 
Yellow Belly Sliders are active, aquatic turtles that need space and proper equipment to thrive. They are not small tank pets and will continue to grow.
 
🟢 Quick Care Tips:
• Adult size: 8–13 inches
• Lifespan: 20–30+ years
• Tank size: 75–125+ gallons as adults
• Basking area: 90–95°F
• Water temp: 75–80°F
• Strong UVB lighting is required
• Diet: Pellets, leafy greens, and protein
 
Turtles are a long-term commitment and need clean water, proper lighting, and room to swim.
