Summer the Chinchilla available 10/30/26

Summer the Chinchilla 🐭☀️

Summer has been with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue since 7/11/26 and will be available beginning 10/30/26.

Unfortunately, we know almost nothing about Summer's past. Before the Exotic Pet Surrender Event even began, someone left Summer at the event and walked away. We weren't given an age, history, personality information, or even a reason why they could no longer be cared for.
What we do know is that Summer deserves a fresh start. 💛

By the time Summer becomes available, they will have spent more than three months with us waiting for their chance to find a home.

Chinchillas need a roomy enclosure, lots of safe things to chew, daily access to hay, appropriate chinchilla food, dust baths, and a cool environment because they can easily overheat. They're also a long-term commitment and can live well into their teens with proper care.
