Lethe came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on September 25, 2025, after her previous owner could no longer care for her due to financial reasons. This gorgeous female Ball Python is 7 years old, about 3 feet long, and thriving on a diet of frozen/thawed rats. 🐀❄️
 
With her deep, rich coloration and calm, mature personality, Lethe is a stunning example of the Black Pastel morph—a snake that’s as elegant as she is easygoing. She’s perfect for anyone looking for a gentle and beautiful companion. 🖤✨

📏 Adult Size: 3–5 feet (females tend to be larger)
📅 Lifespan: 30+ years
💤 Temperament: Shy but docile; enjoys secure hiding spots and gentle handling
🏠 Enclosure Size: Minimum 4’L x 2’W x 2’H (120 gallons)
🌡️ Temps:
– Basking surface: 95–104°F
– Warm hide: 86–90°F
– Cool side: 72–80°F
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, higher during shedding
💡 Lighting: Low-level UVB (Arcadia Forest 6% or Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 T5 HO) recommended
🛏️ Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix (Reptisoil, Eco Earth, or soil/sand blend) topped with leaf litter
