Venus came to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 11/22/25. Their previous owner, who originally got them from PetSmart on 9/11/17, did not leave a reason as to why they could no longer care for them. Venus is now ready for a fresh start in a new home.

Ball Python Care Snapshot
🐍 Enclosure: Ideal size is 48” x 24” x 24” or larger
🔥 Temperatures: Basking 95–104°F • Warm hide 86–90°F • Cool side 72–80°F
💡 Lighting: UVB recommended (22" T5 HO 5–6% on warm side)
💧 Humidity: 45–75%, highest inside the cool hide
🌱 Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil mix such as Reptisoil or Eco Earth
🏞️ Décor: Multiple hides, branches, and leaf litter for security
🍽️ Diet: Frozen/thawed small rats
